Privacy Policy
Codic — gocodic.com · Last updated: 20 Jun 2021
This Privacy Policy explains how Codic ("Codic", "we", "us") handles information in connection with our iOS applications (the "Apps") and our website. Our products are built to be private by design.
1. Information stored on your device
Content you create in an App — for example photos in a vault, subscriptions or bills you log, cycle entries, recordings, scans, or measurements — is stored locally on your device (and, if you enable it, in your own private iCloud via Apple iCloud/CloudKit). We have no servers and cannot access this content. Health- and wellness-related information you enter (e.g., in a cycle tracker) stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, photos, or usage profiles for our own use. We do not include advertising or third-party analytics/tracking SDKs.
3. Limited third-party services
To deliver core functionality, the Apps rely on:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — processes purchases and subscriptions. Apple's handling of your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — helps us manage subscription status. It processes purchase events and a randomly generated app-user identifier (not your name or email). See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Analytics — Apple provides us only aggregated, anonymized statistics (e.g., downloads, crashes). We cannot identify individuals from this.
4. Permissions
Some Apps request device permissions (e.g., Photos, Microphone, Camera) solely to provide their feature on-device. Data accessed under these permissions is processed locally and is not uploaded to us. You can change permissions anytime in iOS Settings.
5. Children's privacy
Our Apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and similar)
Because we do not hold your personal data on our systems, there is generally nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf — your data lives on your device and you control it by editing or deleting it in the App, or by removing the App. For questions, contact us below.
7. Data retention & deletion
On-device data persists until you delete it or uninstall the App. Subscription records held by Apple/RevenueCat follow their respective policies.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, note changes in the App.
